TERMS & CONDITIONS

By signing up to our services or packages with www.conception.co.uk you are agreeing to the following:

Bookings & Payments

  • Your booking for any Conception service — including birth preparation, birth support, postpartum home care, or photography — is confirmed once your deposit or full payment has been received, as outlined in your booking agreement.
  • The deposit is non-refundable and secures your dates, on-call commitment, and preparatory work.
  • If your baby arrives before 38 weeks of pregnancy and your booked sessions were due to take place before that date, a full refund of any remaining balance will be offered upon receipt of your baby’s birth certificate.
  • Every effort will be made to rearrange sessions if circumstances change. Once dates have been confirmed, however, rescheduling may not always be possible.
  • Conception reserves the right to cancel or amend any 1-to-1 sessions or bookings in the event of illness, emergency, or other unforeseen circumstances. If a change prevents your session from going ahead, you’ll be offered either a refund of any balance paid, an alternative date, or a credit towards another service — whichever best suits you.

Services & Pricing

  • Conception provides tailored 1-to-1 services, including birth preparation, birth support, postpartum home care, and photography. Every effort is made to ensure that all descriptions of these services accurately reflect the care and support offered.
  • Each client’s circumstances are unique, and the exact nature of the service may vary to meet individual needs. Prices are stated in pounds sterling (£) and confirmed at the time of booking. Once your booking is confirmed, your quoted price will not change.
  • Availability of specific services cannot be guaranteed until your booking has been confirmed. Prices may be updated from time to time, but any changes will not affect existing confirmed bookings.

Cancellations & Refunds

  • Your booking deposit is non-refundable under all circumstances. It secures your dates and covers the time reserved, preparatory work, and the on-call commitment that begins from the point of booking.
  • Once your on-call period or service preparation has begun, any balance already paid also becomes non-refundable.
  • If Conception must cancel due to illness, family emergency, or another unavoidable reason, every effort will be made to provide suitable cover or rearrange your booking. If this isn’t possible, you’ll receive a full refund of any balance paid (excluding the non-refundable deposit). Where appropriate, we can also discuss adjusting your package to provide equivalent support in another form — for example, additional postpartum care.
  • All refunds will be made to the original payment method.

Provision of Services

  • Conception is committed to providing all services with reasonable skill, care, and attention, consistent with professional standards and best practice.
  • Sessions will be delivered at the agreed time and location, or online if applicable.
  • While every effort is made to provide your service as scheduled, delays or disruptions may occasionally occur due to illness, emergency, or circumstances beyond our control. In such cases, you’ll be contacted as soon as possible to rearrange your booking or offered a suitable alternative.
  • Clients are expected to provide accurate information relevant to their care and to ensure a safe environment for any home visits.

Events Outside Our Control (Force Majeure)

  • Conception will not be liable for delays or cancellations caused by circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including (but not limited to) illness, accidents, travel disruption, severe weather, power failure, or government restrictions.
  • If such an event occurs, we’ll notify you as soon as possible, and your booking will be rearranged or refunded where appropriate.
